Education & Outreach Coordinator
Primary Responsibilities:
~ Develop, enhance, implement & evaluate classes, lessons & other programming in conjunction with the Department Heads. (Current programs/departments include: theatre, music & art.)
~ Market and promote programming in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator; maintain and increase student body.
~ Work with students/parents to schedule classes/lessons, meeting with them as need.
~ Assist the Executive Director in directing and managing educational resources including staff and budget.
~ Develop, enhance & implement special events, performances, workshops, fundraisers, etc. as they pertain to programming and fundraising for programming in conjunction with the Executive Director.
~ Assist the Executive Director in building and maintaining relationships with schools, arts & nonprofit organizations and the town.
~ Develop and coordinate collaborative programming with other cultural and/or community organizations.
~ Recruit, train and supervise department heads, program faculty and program volunteers.
~ Check, respond to and send/return emails and phone calls in an accurate, professional and timely manner.

Secondary Responsibilities:
~ Assist Office Manager as needed: Answer phones, take accurate & informative messages, help/greet customers; Maintain knowledge of all programs & class offerings and ensures accuracy of info. given to customers, faculty and staff; Process registrations for all programs, including tuition calculations & handling of money.
~ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
~ Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and previous experience working in education and/or program management, including staff supervision; familiarity with K-12 teaching standards and curriculum development
~ Flexible individual who can respond quickly to demanding situations while maintaining professional poise and calmness
~ Energetic self-starter passionate about the arts; must work well with others and independently
~ Computer skills required – Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Internet
~ Reliable, flexible, and have great customer service skills & strong organization skills
~ Willingness to learn new tasks and seek more efficient and effective processes
~ Openness to share new ideas and experiences; ability to wear many hats and shift gears

Details / Salary:

~ Full-time position with some evening and weekend hours required
~ Benefits include: paid time off, paid holidays including school closing between Christmas and New Years, 25% tuition discount for immediate family, 403b plan (employee match only), 50% health premium covered by employer
~ Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

Suzuki Violin / Viola, Cello & Piano Instructors
Suzuki violin, cello and piano teachers needed to join a well-established, thriving Suzuki program at Creative Arts, in Reading, MA. We are members of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, and we serve a varied population in the Boston area.

Qualification include a Bachelor's degree in music, or significant professional musical experience. SAA registered teacher training preferably through Book 4 with willingness to continue teacher training.

DUTIES: This is a part-time, after-school position. Teach private lessons and group classes, and participate in recitals and/or group performances. Assist with annual Fall Suzuki workshop.

DESCRIPTION: Creative Arts is a non-profit regional community school of the arts, located fifteen miles north of Boston. We offer classes in art, theater, and traditional music, as well as a Suzuki program. There is great demand for Suzuki trained teachers in the Boston area, and several performance opportunities are also available.

SALARY: Competitive salary based on training and experience, beginning at $31/hr.
