Theory
We are in the process of planning Music Theory and Music History Classes. Please contact Music Director Sheryl LaFayette at 781-942-9600 to inquire about these classes and to let us know what interests you may have.

Creative Arts participates in the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music theory exams. Contact the office at 781-942-9600 for more information.
Student Performances
Student Performance Nights are designed to be a low-pressure opportunity for students of any age to play in front of an audience. These evenings are a great way to prepare for the year end Studio Recitals. Please see your instructor or the Music Coordinator to sign up. Performance dates are listed in the calendar, but please check in the office for any changes or additions to the schedule.

Student Performance Nights are also an opportunity for audience members to learn how to quietly and patiently sit through a live performance. Parents can use these nights to teach younger siblings how to respect the performer.

There are often other performance opportunities through out the year, such as Shop the Block and other community events. Please check in the office or on the bulletin boards for these opportunities.

Student Performance Nights are free and open to the public.
Recitals
Year-end music recitals are held in May each year. Typically instructors will hold an individual studio recital or combine with one or more other instructors. Please check with your instructor for the date and time of your recital. When possible, information will also be posted on this portion of the website.
Suzuki Workshops
Creative Arts' Suzuki Workshop offers students and parents an opportunity to work with nationally known clinicians, and meet other families who are committed to Suzuki Talent Education.

The 2007-2008 workshop was held the weekend of November 10, 2007.

Certificate Program
Students enrolled in private music lessons who desire to make a serious commitment to their musical education are encouraged to enroll in the Certificate Program. Students who successfully complete the program level in which they enrolled will be recognized for their achievement with a certificate during the Annual Spring Arts Night & Reception of the year in which they qualify. Levels are: Bronze, Silver & Gold. Speak to Music Director Sheryl LaFayette for more details.
Perform-a-thon
Join us for a day of music while raising funds for new programming, instrument upkeep, technology and financial aid! The Annual Perform-a-thon is a free community event, donations are greatly accepted, sponsors welcomed, and students are also encouraged to collect pledges for their performance.

This year the Perform-a-thon will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008. The event usually begins at noon and runs through 7:00 or 8:00 depending on the number of performers. There are small breaks every hour, allowing for time to stretch your legs or to come and go as needed.
Fees/Discounts
Private Lessons & Early Childhood Music Classes: 5% discount for the second student/instrument, 10% discount for the 3rd & subsequent enrollments in one family. Discounts taken off the second highest tuition. There are no family discounts on groups or other classes.
