April Vacation Week Workshops
NEW! Try a one-day, half-day, or full week creative experience with new immersion workshops. All workshops for ages 6-12 years old. Please bring a peanut-free snack(s)/lunch and plenty of liquids.
Tuition Rates (registration fee included; credit card fees apply if used):
Morning Session (8:30am-noon): $35 per morning / $135 full week of mornings; Instructor: Kirsten Brown
Afternoon Session (1-5:30pm): $45 per afternoon / $170 full week of afternoons; Instructor: Jamie McDonough
All Day (8:30am-5:30pm): $70 per day / $270 full day all week

Morning Session: Drawing from Scratch, Instructor: Kirsten Brown
Improve observation skills by translating 3D images to 2D drawings by exploring perspective, line, shape & value.
Afternoon Session: Enter the World of Sculpey
Use your imagination to sculpt creatures, charms, pencil toppers and other whimsical or functional pieces out of Sculpey.
Wednesday, April 21:
Morning Session: Painting with the Masters
Improve or learn painting techniques, styles, observation skills and basic color theory by studying works of painting Masters like Vermeer, Singer-Sargent or Seurat.
Afternoon Session: Kawaii Cards
Create different greeting cards using the Japanese Kawaii cartoon style (like Hello Kitty).
Thursday, April 22:
Morning Session: Art in Nature
Illustrate plants, animals, insects, life cycles, food webs, or entire ecosystems by using principles of art & design and learning to make careful observations.
Afternoon Session: Sculpture
Learn to think in 3D by using your imagination to create artwork in-the-round!
Friday, April 23:
Morning Session: Architectural Sculpture
Create buildings, gardens and structural sculptures using your imagination and different materials while learning about famous architects.
Afternoon Session: Comic Illustration Studio
Crash! Bang! Zoom! Learn different comic illustration styles while creating our own comic.

NEW! Figure Drawing Lab - Adults & Teens, 16+
NEW! Capture the essence of the human form through gesture. Emphasis on drawing technique, proportion, anatomy, foreshortening, volume blocking and composition through different poses. This workshop is perfect for all drawing skills levels interested in working with the human form in a relaxed, open atmosphere.

Family Discount: $5 discount for the 2nd & subsequent enrollments for one family with all day full week registrations only. Refunds, less a $5 per half-day or $10 per full-day non-refundable registration fee, will be considered if a written request is made to the Executive Director by April 5.
