Current Happenings
Student Performances (Music & Theatre) Student Performance Nights are designed to be a low-pressure opportunity for students to play in front of a receptive audience. They are also an opportunity for audience members to learn how to quietly and patiently sit through a live performance. A light reception follows each Student Performance Night. Students should talk to their teacher before signing up to perform. Remaining Student Performance Nights for the 2010-2011 School Year: December 17, 2010 (Art Exhibition opens at 6:45pm) January 29, 2011 (Perform-a-thon, check the office for times) March 18, 2011 April 8, 2011 All of the above Student Performance Nights begin at 7pm and are free and open to the public. Additional performances include: Perform-a-thon on January 29, 2011 - A day of music to raise funds for new programming, instrument upkeep, technology and financial aid. Student Recitals in May & June of 2011 - Each faculty member has a year end recital for their full studio. Check in the office or with your instructor for your specific recital date. Spring Arts Night - This year's celebration is scheduled for June 8, 2011 - Select students are invited to perform at this end-of-year event. Students are also encouraged to participate in Open Houses, at fundraisers, and in other community events. |
